I assume that the wooden, A-framed shaped skeleton structure at the entrance was originally roof or designed to look like one. It has been The Spot since at least 2007. In 1971, it became The New Age of Aquarius, a private club. The Spot was built in 1961 as a Chinese restaurant. Does anyone know what it was built for and/or when? It looks like it may have been a greenhouse. The Ditta Cafe, previously Diva's Cafe, has a 1960s looking "bubble" dome attached to the main building. The Steiner American Building was built in 1966. Does anyone know anything more about this complex? This overhead view shows how the pair of three buildings are interlocking with two other buildings between them.
